Default Folder X, Together updated

Yurk! I got bogged down by work last week, and so here’s a couple things that got updated that I failed to note (there’s a third, too, but OmniWeb lost one of my browser workspaces somehow and I can’t recall what it was; oh well). Hopefully next week will be calmer and more conducive to blogging.

Default Folder X has been updated to version 4.0.1, including numerous bug fixes, more options for the display (including an old-style gray option for people who don’t like the new HUD look), and more. For complete details, see the release notes. Together was updated to 2.0.7, an update that consisted mainly of bug fixes. Read more about it at the Together download page.

Yojimbo update: 1.5.1

YojimboYojimbo, one of my three favorite file libraries, has been updated to version 1.5.1. This maintenance update contains no new features, but fixes a number of bugs including column widths forgetting their width under Leopard, numerous problems with PDFs, and issues with the Quick Start Movie command and Adobe Illustrator files.

For more information, see the current release notes.

Together update: 2.0.5

TogetherReinvented Software continues to keep up the hard work, releasing version 2.0.5 of Together today. This minor update brings a slew of bug fixes and several minor features, such as the option not to show the library name in the shelf tab, View Encrypted Item and Hide Encrypted Item commands, the ability to size the Source list much wider (depending on window size), and the addition of a crash reporter.

For more details and to download the new version, see the Together release notes (you can also update via the in-program auto-updater).

Together update: 2.0.4

TogetherTogether, one of the top three tag-based file libraries for Mac (unfortunately 10.5-only), has been updated to version 2.0.4. This minor update includes better performance when working with tags in the tag browser, case-sensitive tag renaming, the ability to hide an item’s extension via contextual menu, improved performance for displaying icons (particularly on single-CPU machines), and a number of bug fixes.

For more details, see the release notes. Additionally, the developer has launched a support forum for Together (and his other piece of software, Feeder). Email support will still be available, but if you’d like to seek help from other users, the support forum is an excellent place to find it.

Together update: 2.0.3

TogetherTogether has been updated to version 2.0.3. This minor update includes improved performance when using tags, importing, or searching; Finder-style sequential number sorting (so that you don’t need leading zeroes to sort sequentially numbered files by name); and many more bug fixes and minor improvements. Definitely worth a download, and if you’re looking to buy it (and a bunch of other apps) at a discount, Give Good Food to Your Mac has been extended until Saturday Dec. 15, 2007.

For the numerous other details about the update, head over to the official release notes.

Webjimbo update: 2.1

WebjimboWebjimbo, the web-based portal to your Yojimbo library, has been updated to version 2.1. This version now supports Yojimbo 1.5 (requires it, in fact) and provides minor fixes to password and serial number searching to bring Webjimbo more in line with Yojimbo.

For more information, please see the release notes.

Yojimbo update: 1.5

YojimboYojimbo, the super-simple file library from Bare Bones Software that excels at synchronization, has been updated to version 1.5. The biggest addition to Yojimbo is support for images; you can now toss your photos and so forth into Yojimbo and tag away. (A note from Bare Bones: “Please do not try to replace iPhoto, Aperture, or Lightroom with Yojimbo: You’ll make us cry.”) Yojimbo’s tags are also now searchable via Spotlight, searching and filtering has been greatly improved, and numerous Leopard bugs have been squashed (including problems with the Drop Dock in Spaces).

In a day with a number of point releases and bug fixes to tagging software already, this one definitely stands out. Yojimbo 1.5 is a worthy update to one of the three best file libraries available, and well worth downloading (it’ll be the last version you have to download yourself, since it now has auto-updating available). If you’d like more details about the update, see the Yojimbo release notes. The update is free to all registered users, and a normal individual license for Yojimbo costs $39.

Yep update: 1.7

Yep!Yep, the PDF file library from Ironic Software, has been updated to version 1.7. This version brings full Leap integration (the two programs now recognize changes made in each other), along with numerous fixes and speed improvements. Additionally, German and Chinese localizations have been added to the program for our international friends.

There are no release notes available. Additionally, Yep is on sale as part of the MacUpdate Promo bundle that is running from December 3 – 11, 2007. The bundle potentially features 10 different apps (if the sales are high enough), so if you didn’t spend enough money on MacSanta and Give Good Food to Your Mac head over and check it out.

EagleFiler at MacSanta

EagleFilerEagleFiler (and a bunch of other cool, non-tagging apps like SpamSieve and more) is available from MacSanta today December 2, 2007 only for 20% off. Although it will only be a featured deal today, if you miss it you’ll be able to pick it up for 10% off through the end of the MacSanta promotion (December 24th).

The MacSanta sale is definitely a good one to keep your eye on (because you don’t have enough places to spend money in December as is), and they provide an RSS feed for those who like to keep abreast of the latest featured deals.

Together update: 2.0.2

TogetherTogether, the newly revitalized file library (formerly KIT), has been updated to version 2.0.2. This minor update brings a number of bug fixes and performance optimizations, including fixes to tag autocompletion, better smart view performance for tags with “contains” or “does not contain”, and numerous fixes to file importing.

For more details, see the Together release notes.
